Video Remote Interpreting (VRI)
Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) involves ASL interpreters providing their services remotely via video conferencing technology. This allows for immediate access to interpreting services without the need for an on-site interpreter. VRI is often used in situations where an on-site interpreter may not be available or practical, such as in rural areas or for urgent interpreting needs.
VRI for Last Minute Needs
Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) can also be beneficial for meetings which have not been planned in advance because it alleviates the drive time needed to get to an on-site location.
